More about the Royal Tiara the “Halo
What do we know about the Halo Royal Tiara?
It was given to the Queen Mother, made by Cartier in the 1930’s, she then gave it to the current Queen on her eighteenth birthday. It went beautifully with Kate’s Grace Kelly styled dress, designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen.
Royal Tiara and the fascinators
The Royal Tiara was not the only piece of hair jewelry on the bridal party; her sister Pippa Middleton had a Lily-of-the-Valley hairpiece to keep her hair off her face. Everyone else had hats or fascinators of all kinds; made by Philip Treacy the famous milliner.
Victoria Beckman had one of the most striking pillbox style by Phillip Treacy a stiff navy fascinator with a flower design and curled details, going beautifully with her own design, one of the best dressed.
Carole Middleton looked pretty elegant as well in her pale blue hat and Catherine Walker (Princess Di’s favorite designer).
Zara Philips in a striking black hat, and dress, she is always beautifully turned out.
Charlene Wittstock, the fiancé of Prince Albert of Monaco in a stunning grey coat style dress and huge hat all simply elegant.
Chelsy, Prince Harry’s girlfriend, looked quite elegant in a turquoise suit with a discreet taupe lace hat by milliner Victoria Grant.
Princess Letizia of Spain stunning in a salmon pink dress with a fifties style hat in the same color, always one of the most stylish.
The milliner Philip Treacy designed Kate Middleton’s hat for Prince William’s passing out parade at Sandhurst in 2006, and of course Princess Beatrice wears those daring creations at Ascot of him, the one with all the butterflies staked on top.
What a wonderful ceremony full of pomp and ceremony but equally beautiful for the couple, it was almost private as they said the vows. Wishing them all the best in life, all the love and light.
