Hairpieces and what uses they have
You are all different persons as such and I am sure you know lots of guys who think why on earth would girls wear bridal tiaras or any kind hair accessories really, we wont even speak about the reaction to hair extensions or hair pieces. Well I am sure you will agree it just gives us women that extra bit of power or glamour. It’s all very well being natural but there are those times you have the need to just add that bit of oomph for that feel good feeling. You can see all the stars, with long locks been all the rage on the red carpets, from Tara Banks, Paris Hilton, Naomi Campbell and Jessica Alba.
Why hairpieces or hair extensions for you?
I watched this program on television about this girl that has 300+ hair extensions or hairpieces. She is motivated by these hair pieces, she becomes this person, like Venom then she takes on this persona all super sexy and I guess its makes life a bit more exciting in more ways than one. Her husband had a problem with finding this furry thing on the bedside table, what did he think it was a living creature. At the end of the day it was her choice to have or to wear these hairpieces it made her very happy. I do have to confess that I think 300+ is a bit excessive, that money could be spent on something else.
Say you have short hair, if you really felt the need for long hair, yes hair pieces is a viable alternative, you can avoid to painstaking growing your hair and going through all those awful in between stages of bits here and there. You personally might think girls with long hair have so much more scope with playing around with there hair, so much to do, with no effort at all, slip a headband on and you have that bit of glamour.
Its all up to your personal taste, even for brides it is great, not too sure how it will work with bridal tiaras though, I am sure it will give you that thickness you need to hold the tiara in place. See it will be great as wedding hair accessories, even if you wear a hair clip or headband.
Types of hairpieces
You might call these hair extensions but hairpieces come in all shapes and sizes.
Easilites clip on high lights – a great way to highlight your hair without you having to strip and color your own hair. The beauty of these is that they are 100% human hair, they come in 16” clip-in nightlights, 11 funky colors but you can color or highlight them as well, iron them, curl and style as your own hair.
Clip-on hair combs hairpieces – where you simply clip it in at the crown of your head, or you lift your hair up on the crown to attach. Some are called Extendit Hair, Hair Extensions.

Why the perfect Headband?
Well lets be perfect honest what are we looking for when it comes to a Headband? Lets face the reality of the matter; we need this old time favorite hair accessories item. The fact of the matter is you might be having a bad hair day, want to keep your hair out of your face, keep hair tidy, even growing your hair out into another style or simply as a fashion hair accessory item. Some days you feel a bit drab, a simple headband just adds that bit of light you need to add to you or in your life, you simply feel so much better.
Types of the Headband
This comes in a huge range of types and colors so here goes:
Bow headband – They come in a whole range of fabrics and designs, knitted, satin, beads,
Satin or silk headband – You can find striking colors, shapes, of course narrow or wide, from flower shapes, to some stunning ones from Jennifer Behr.
Animal Print Headband – my favorite, so exotic looking, zebra stripes, leopard or cheetah spots.
Feather Headband – from peacock feathers, to a whole galaxy of exotic feathers fake or real, even the guinea fowl feather is quite spectacular imagine a headband in one.
Flower headband – some come in silk flowers, beaded flower, mesh, and rhinestone shaped flowers.
Braided Headband – from the stiff braids, to soft, to multi strands of braids, suede braids, multi-colored braided headband.
Sparkly Headband – we all know these bling bling style, sequins, and rhinestone, Swarovski Crystal.
Studded Headband – spiky stud headbands, Biker Stud Headband, single row stud, two rows of studs, pressed studs.
Printed Headband – comes in a wider fabric where you can make it bigger/smaller or the stiff fabric ones. Lovely scarf kimono style fabrics, a bit more on later in this post.
Comfort level of the Headband
I personally find some give me a headache so comfort ranks quite high for me in this aspect of the headband. If you were the same then the soft turban style with the bottom end elasticated would be a great alternate option.

Some old something new in Hair Jewelry Accessories
We all have some old things we have either got from our moms or grandma’s old pieces of costume jewelry, why not re-cycle and use it in your hair. The amazing Hair Accessories called Fascinator, either you love them or hate them but they are great for weddings, horseracing and parties. Add that distinctive wow factor, same as Kate Middleton did as she stepped out with Prince William at there first royal function. Yes she had a pheasant fascinator on to match the theme of where they were. Vivien Sheriff Millinery, a small company based in rural Wiltshire, which makes all their hats by hand, designed the velvet and feather beret. The design team was just as delighted to see the piece on top of Kate’s head as everyone else. She has quite a few of there pieces and they were happy she wore it for her first event. The beret is made of chocolate brown velvet and trimmed with feathers (mostly pheasant) that indeed matched Kate’s outfit. It also carried a cameo and badges on it a Welsh one.

The Queen of England actually set the trend wearing the Fascinator at many occasions, as she constantly has to wear hats for functions. Kate Middleton has worn some other Fascinators for other weddings she and William attended. Even her sister had one on the other day to a wedding, so did Chelsy the girlfriend of Prince Harry. So it seems to be pretty popular in the royal’s circles and in the wedding arena, brides are also seen wearing them. See it is wonderful just to add that bit of feather hair accessories to dress up your whole outfit.
